Custom domains with HTTPS
Every Tessryx workspace starts on a free tessryx.app address. To put a site on your own name, claim the domain in your dashboard and add two records at your DNS provider. One proves the domain is yours and the other points it at Tessryx.
Custom domains come with a paid plan: 2 on Pro, 10 on Agency, unlimited on Scale. More are $8 a month each.
Once the records check out, Tessryx issues the certificate and keeps it renewed. The "Served by Tessryx" badge comes off, and search engines can index the site.

What it serves
shop.yourbrand.com/storefront/home
shop.yourbrand.com/productsstorefront/products
Takes effect once the domain is active. A domain only reaches pages inside its prefix, so a storefront domain can never open admin pages. Changes show within about a minute.
How it works
- 01
Claim it
Type the hostname under Domains in your dashboard. The two records to add are shown there, and you can come back to them any time.
- 02
Add the records
A TXT record proves you own the domain, and a CNAME points it at custom.tessryx.com. Your AI can walk you through it, and the records go in at your DNS provider.
- 03
Wait for the certificate
After the records check out, the domain moves from verified to active as its certificate is issued.
- 04
Point it at an app
Choose which folder of your workspace the domain serves and which page is its home page, so one workspace can run several sites.
Questions
Can I use a bare domain like yourbrand.com?
That works when your DNS provider supports CNAME flattening or ALIAS records, as Cloudflare, Route 53 and DNSimple do. Otherwise use the www address and forward the bare domain at your registrar.
Is a paid plan required?
It is. Pro includes 2 custom domains and Agency 10, and either can add more at $8 a month each. The free plan stays on its tessryx.app address.
Can I buy a domain through Tessryx?
We don't sell domains. Register yours with any registrar and add the two records there.
Under the hood
The technical details
- records
- A TXT at _tessryx-challenge.<host> to prove ownership, and a permanent CNAME from <host> to custom.tessryx.com.
- states
- PENDING, VERIFIED, CERT_PENDING, ACTIVE. Verification is a live lookup; the certificate is issued and renewed for you.
- claims
- Unverified claims expire after 30 days. The first workspace to verify a hostname takes it.
- hostnames
- No wildcards, no hostnames containing "tessryx", and international names as punycode.
Related features
Point a domain at one app
Choose which project a domain shows and which page is its home page. Several sites can share a workspace, because each domain only reaches its own project's pages.
Root domains like yourbrand.com
A bare domain like yourbrand.com works if your DNS provider can point a bare domain at another name, as Cloudflare, Route 53 and DNSimple can. If yours can't, the www address does the job and your registrar forwards the rest.
Extra domains, $8 a month each
On Pro and Agency you can add domains one at a time without moving up a plan. Agencies use this when a new client site needs its own.
A free yourname.tessryx.app address
Each workspace gets a secure web address as soon as something is published, with no domain to buy. Pages there show a small "Served by Tessryx" badge and stay out of search results.
